My Non-Dedicated Session is not showing on the list of servers. I could use some help.

I've started a Non-Dedicated Session and for some reason it isn't showing on the list of Non-Dedicated Sessions for my partner when they open the Join Ark tab and search for my Session name. Both of our games are up to date, I validated the files for both of us and we both have zero mods installed. I've looked everywhere for solutions but haven't found any other troubleshooting steps to fix this. Anyone else have ideas to fix this?

Server browser in game is for dedicated server only. To join a non-dedicated session your partner needs to close the game, and click join your game (make sure your non dedicated session is up) from his *steam friend list*, ark will then start running and he should be redirected to your session automatically.

Even in the Non-Dedicated Tab? That's kind of strange and goes against all of the videos stating that that is how you join a Non-Dedicated session. I'll still try your way. Here's hoping it works.

There are already hundreds of similar discussions giving this solution, and it worked for me and my friends, a year ago, yes that was a long time ago, but I am not aware of any changes made by WC ever since, so it should work, unless it's some bigger issues with your clients (network, version, mod, etc.).

The answer is no for EGS. The only way to play with people from Epic is to setup your own dedicated server, e.g. ark server manager, and have cross-play option enabled.

Nevertheless, I strongly recommend using a dedicated server no matter if you are on EGS or steam, non-dedicated session is essentially single player, and it's pretty unstable.

7777 is the Epic Games port
