Can't Craft Anything - PLEASE HELP!

Sorry to bother everyone about this but I've tried everything in order to make crafting work. I can't make anything in the game, not even a pickaxe. I just bought the game and downloaded it yesterday. I first got in the game, punched a tree until I leveled up. The pickaxe is colored in and I have all the materials to make one. Whenever I try to create it, it makes the error noise as if I don't have the materials.

What I've tried:

- Killed myself, re-spawned leveled up
- Killed myself, made new guy
- Leveled up several times and unlocked new engrams; None can be crafted
- Join my friend's session
- Made my own session
- Uninstalled the game and re-installed it

Please people this game is 100% broken for me and no matter what I do I cannot craft anything.

And before someone thinks I'm a noob with these types of games; I have over 500 hours played on Rust. Has to count for some crafting experience.

Are you following the right steps?
1. Select Inventory (letter i)
2. Use mouse, click on Create
3. Find the Engrem for the pickaxe. Double click it or...
4. Push the E key to craft it.
5. Go to inventory. It should be there.

I attempted to make a dedicated server and downloaded a bunch of crap like the steamcmd so idk if this caused my game to be permanently corrupt. Anyone please help.

Just to make sure, you do have 1 stone, 1 wood, and 10 thatch at least right?
If so there's no reason it shouldn't work and I'd recommend verifying game file integrity through steam.

Yeah I had all the materials. I just did the file integrity thing people told me in-game to do. It said 2 files had a problem so I'm trying it out now if it is fixed.

There should supposedly always be 2 files with a "problem" because they're different for every computer, so they'll never match up with what steam thinks they should be, and they'll always get called bad when you verify, it shouldn't be a problem though.

This game looks like so much fun but it simply won't work for me. I've spoken to people in game that had 5k + hours played and said they never heard of this bug before. I don't know what else to besides refund the game.... so sad...

crafting is opened with v if the blueprints greyed out you dont have the ressource to build them

Listen man... I had triple the material required to make a pickaxe and it still won't work...

Problem solved. There's a crafting page separate from the engrams page.... **** me.
