Tek Rexes

I don't know about everyone else, but I'm frankly pretty excited to participate in this event. The skins are pretty cool, and though there are no new dinos, I can overlook that with the addition of the Tek Rex. The trailer for the event showed Tek Rexes that could be breeded and tamed. I wanted to know how to tame them like how to knock them out or what food they eat? I don't wanna find one and waste resources on them to find out I'm using the wrong stuff. I know the event literally just came out like an hour ago, I just wanna know if anyone has encountered let alone tame the mechanical beasts

I havn't even loaded up ark yet, i find it funny they can breed though, whoever designed it must've just went "what a cool invention hehe let's give it a peepee now"

I'm exited about them as well. I am going to hunt one just for the fight. I hope that it does not dissapoint me. I'm also looking forward to the dillo mask.

Well I'm either trying flowers or electronics. By the by do events like this apply to singleplayer or is it just for PVE and PVP servers?

they do apply to singleplayer/unofficial servers but you have to manually enable them:
Library > Ark Properties > Set Launch options > -ActiveEvent=ARKaeology

Is there a way to take the new content but not the Tek Rexes, as we play more a medieval style and dont need them, plus we have no large tames like rexes or spinos anyway to keep the danger real. Thanks

Got lvl 18 knocked out with reg arrow and tamed with mutton same as regular rex, also come in diff colors

The most angry fact is that when you kill and "eat" a Tek Rex it doesn´t drop elements, metal or oil or wheels or something mecanic nooooooo it drops meat.... and Hide!!!! FACEPALM

They arent tek-rexes.. just normal bionic rexes...

Still haven't found any Tek Rexes... starting to lose hope.. bee flying over the map for hours.

Same here :/ been around all the places where a Rex can spawn and nothing. Hell not even carnivore island spawned any. I've found a bunch of regular Rexes but not any Tek

Tamed exactly like a rex. The base stats are exactly the same. The *only* differences are cosmetic, and that you can find them up to level 200 in the wild (360 after tame.) I did one and it came out with ~13k hp and ~550 melee. After breeding, I got almost 700 melee and over 6k hp. First generation. Makes people's months long rex breeding projects obselete.
