Maybe they'll make it possible in ARK 2 but I wouldn't put money on that happening either.
It isn't built on the same old, twisted, warped and completely borked engine that ARK 1 is written on.
ARK 2 is a "different story" too. Whether this is the continuation of ARK's storyline moving forward or what, we don't know that yet exactly.
ARK 2 is also rumored to be taken in a far more primitive approach than ARK 1. AKA: No Tek
ARK 1 is based IN SPACE. 100% Except for the "Extinction DLC" which is a limited access to Earth type of DLC.
ARK 2 is a planet. Not based IN SPACE like ARK 1 is.
So since ARK 2 is actually going in a different direction than ARK 1. It cannot simply be a "new DLC" since at that point there is no "new direction" that can be taken at that point.
And what's more, you'd rather they continue to build on the old, outdated, buggy engine itself rather than using a new, less buggy engine?
I don't know about you, I love ARK and all the hours I've put into it and I've rarely encountered a lot of game-breaking bugs. But I for one am looking forward to a less buggy, less warped, less outdated game engine above all things first and foremost.
A lot of ARK 1's problems are caused by the engine itself and there is no fixing the engine it's built on.
