Outside of saddles and crypods, no.

The cryopods? Think pokeballs basically. You can store the dino inside the cryopod and it's in stasis for the duration it is in there (but will gain xp still). Toss out the pokeball, I mean cryopod, and the dino pops out where you aimed. Throw another out before the timer is finished though and the second dino will come out with "cryo sickness" meaning it will be unconscious and prone to additional damage if attacked. Each cryopod also has a timer on the actual pod, that would be it's charge. If that reaches 0 with a dino inside, the dino is dead. You recharge them with the cryofridge, and can store them indefinitely within those fridges as well as long as the cryofridge remains powered.

Edit: this does mean that you can use a cryofridge for clean, organized, and neat dino storage on your raft. Even unpowered they store the pods, but wont recharge them. It could be a bit of a risk though. If you don't power and protect that raft you could lose all the dinos within to either the timers timing out or a leed wrecking the raft and all buildings on it.

Hmm i want to be able to see the dinos. As i am trying to make a noahs ark barge :-(

I just need way line up my dinos and keep them in raft. Id hoped after all this time. Dinos on barge issues would be fixed. I have mod for huge rafts. But no reason build it if cant keep dinos in place lol Just found 3 dilos floating in air above their pen lol

i could make a fake looking version and make it stationary. But i really want raft base and dino pens.

this is not always the case. some dinos have broken collision and cryo released dinos can fly around in the air until a no collision zone is found

yeah. Cryo pods have a long list of potential issues and uses, but I was attempting to give the introduction information to a player who hasn't had the chance to work with them yet so I didn't get incredibly specific about much, just stick to the fundamentals. (also worth noting cryo gets real picky about moving water dinos to. Lost a few to cryopods flipping out about water or the dino thinking it wasn't released in sufficient water despite being pretty deep in open ocean).

As for the OP's issue of making Ark's ark...The saddle is probably the best option for lining them up but it won't help with non-ridable dinos like the dilo. You can whistle then into position with enough patience, but there's also no guarantee they will actually stay where you first put them (like your floating dilo issue). If it is just the appearance you want and don't necessarily require the living dinos, you could try the taxidermy statues. In base game they have a base and you need the taxidermy tool to collect the skin of corpses (including your own if you'd like to make a statue of yourself). You'd then place the skin within the taxidermy base and it will create a statue of the skin you collected (it will size the statue based on the size of the base, and it's not the most space efficient option). There might be a mod out there that modifies the base to be less obvious, though I've never actually checked.

hmm that is a option. I wanted base to have a ark feel to it. with noisy and moving dinos. Used to work lot better in past for me. One a private server I had a 75x150 foundation sized barge. And I kept it at sea unless was picking up more dinos... or moving to shore to work on some thing. I had my main base, aviary and ranch and garden all on my raft.

I even had brontos and quezs on it lol Though those two and para did fall out at times. So had small rideable dino in a spot next to them. then had those follow the small dino. so as barge moved it caused them to move forward as well and stay in pen.

Making a raft base and ark is my main goal in game.

Be aware that there is a fish in the game now that can 2 shot rafts on many different maps. If you are playing in single player you can opt to disable the spawning of those fish or replace them with something else though. Modded content may let you build larger rafts but there are still restrictions and the default now outside of modded content for size is much smaller than it used to be in the first 2 or so years.

You're better off making a land base. Dinos can also due to collision issues fall under rafts even if you build structures on it and thus lose them. There is also an alternative with Structures plus mod that lets you build using foundations directly on the water(not to be confused with the Ocean platforms already in game either. But they too can have fall throughs.

yea i know about the whip. i use it regularly. but it's not a precise way to move dinos. they sort of just wander forward for a bit unless something triggers their hitbox in which case they could end up anywhere

Oh ya the lideeo... some thing or other. I have them turned off attacking rafts. Rest can attack but not them unless agro. Also i am building under water defenses once rest done :-)

ocean platform? What is that? And ya whip works if just want dino in a pen or move it to side. as for precise... not very good.

It is basically a large square platform frame that you can place on the ocean to then build a base upon. It does not move though.

Hmm would help to make a water world type base. I wish they had fixed dinos on rafts :-(
