Cant Make Jerky

Im not able to make jerky. I've got a preservation bin with over 100 each of cooked meat, oil and spark powder as well as 20 cooked prime meat and not only do the jerky icons say that i have 0 of each ingredient but also that i need to research the jerky engrams before i can make them... There are no jerky engrams. There is a timer on the jerky icons, despite them saying i cannot make them, but even when they run out and start over there is no jerky. without jerky i cannot make kibble and the game is broken. anyone have any insights?

I did not have it yet, but maybe you could try ... What happens if you craft a second preservation bin and move all items out of the first bin into the second one?

In other cases (mostly when building parts cannot be replaced), then I destroy it and can place the new one without problem. Might be worth a try for preservation bins.

Do you have mods installed?

sounds like you are using an outdated or broken stack mod

i have no mods installed. i got the package deal steam offered recently that came with the expansions but have not so much as searched for mods and havent even messed with the base settings. the second bin idea sounds worth trying, im genuinely at a loss. my friend has been playing for a few years and couldnt even comprehend what i was describing until he came over and saw for himself tonight. if i could post the screenshot i took in this thread i would. thanks for the responses!

hm, i dont have it and am prob not going to look into it atm, thank you though. I think ill post it to the artwork page with basically the same query. if youre interested please look for it.

image was taken before i added a bunch of sparkpowder thinking maybe a short stack was stopping me, but you get the gist of it

it appears to be crafting tho. jerky takes ages in the preserving bin.

edit: the learn engram thing is a bug.

you cant craft (make) jerky meat with clicking on engram

just wait several hours and check your preservin bin again (if you're playing online and official server)

right on. i could swear its all been in there for days, but maybe i was missing something for a time... also ive seen the timers count all the way down and restart with still no jerky to be found.... will give it more time. thanks everyone!
