How to play 2 player on aberration?

My friend and I have played through The Island and Scorched Earth no problem we did it on non-dedicated server. Now we are playing Aberration and since the zones are weird and he kept getting teleported around we started using ark server manager to host a dedicated server. The problem is we have now got all the way to Rockwell but we can't beat him. We have good gear and dinos but its just impossible with 2 people using server settings. Is there anyway to change the settings to use the single player version of the bosses so we stand a chance? I've searched and cant find anything that actually works.

Rockwell is even possible alone on Standard Server settings.

What for Dinos you have? Some megalosaur with some good breeding stats (100+ atk, 100+ HP) and it is easy.

I forgot to put that were trying to do alpha so we can unlock everything. We have pretty much capped out shotguns and some(i don't remember off hand their stats) good megalosaurus but its impossible to beat alpha Rockwell within the time limit with just two people.

We regularly do it solo on my cluster. Without cheating either.
Compared to the dragon its a rather easy battle.

I soloed alpha rockwell on my private server with official settings and level override of 9 instead of the regular 5, it's more difficult because the boss and minion both spawns at higher level. Although my creatures are also at higher levels but their main use is the on the boss and I still need to kill tentacles using a shotgun, and I managed to do it with no problem in terms of time.

You should double check the off hand stats of your shotgun if you keep running out of time, this is the most important equipment for this boss fight TBH.

My shotguns are at cap. its been stated many times that it is mathematically impossible to beat alpha Rockwell solo without cheating someway or another. But in either case my question was how to make him like he should be in single player/non dedicated server. Its not very helpful when i ask a question for people to come and say well i did it.

That's nonsense. Before reaching the conclusion with "mathematically impossible", I would recommend searching for legit alpha rockwell solo gameplay on YT, it's not only possible to do it solo without cheats, you can even solo it on foot with no tame, all within the time limit.

A capped shotgun means nothing on a server with different settings and mod condition; 30min is more than enough if you have a capped shotgun under official settings.

The whole point of people coming and saying "I did it" is to correct your misleading claim about the impossibility. Yet, all information I got from you in the entire post is "it's not possible...", which is not helpful either.

I do apologise for not reading your original post clearly, but in case the game is too hard for you, enable "use single player settings" should help.

The boss itself on single player has no difference from that on multiplayer, except without a timer during the fight. AFAIK there's no way to get rid of the timer on MP as I believe the timer is bound to the game mode not settings, but still worth trying if you want some extra dmg and health buff for your tames.

I guess it was a mistake posting here since people want to make stupid claims. You cant show a single video of a solo Alpha Rockwell ive looked. second there is no single player option anymore on ark server manager hence the problem. and third the boss on single player is 67% weaker then on a server so pretty much everything you've said is wrong. i didnt post before doing my research or i wouldn't have posted. I've been playing ark for a long time.

Have been playing for a long time? I wouldn’t say that when I am making nonsensical claims about the boss doability while thinking he’s more correct than others ;)

You have done all research but still can’t find a video for soloing a little alpha rockwell? That’s some room for improving your research skill my friend :D

For legit SP with no SP settings, check out either Phlinger Phoo or Arindam Gaming.
For solo on dedicated server, search for Syntac, Jimbob and Axeman.
It’s now your diligence to check out the “impossible” solo alpha rockwell fight in those channels.

For boss nerf on SP, that’s where you sourced from...

I hope I was wrong because last time I checked with super spyglass there was absolutely no difference when SP setting is off.

I do use ASM everyday but unfortunately I don’t check if any setting is removed after every patch, anyway I don’t use SP setting either.

With enough research you should know SP setting essentially enables some INI stuff in the background, and you need to do the background stuff yourself if ASM has that removed. Decrease in boss resistance and increase in health and dmg of tames can “mimic” the boss nerf.
Do it either vis ASM GUI or manually in Game.ini

To reiterate, saying something is impossible because of your limited game skills is essential ranting. Even the most argued Genesis missions can be soloed on alpha difficulty.

ok for the last time i didn't ask if it was possible and you should really do some research, both of the people you said to watch were doing it on single player which makes it much easier. Neither have a timer and the second one even says in the video you cant do his method without cactus broth which isn't native to aberration and in the comments he says a shotgun won't work.

Thanks for the actual info about how to nerf him but tried that in ASM it just wont take, it doesn't change anything. I tried it in the GUI and in the game.ini file but it doesn't do anything.

also saying something is possible without there being any proof even though no one was stating that as fact (until you started) is ranting not the person that asked a simple question. i did state it was impossible with 2 people but, anyone should be able to tell you shouldn't take things literally all the time it most likely is possible with 2 people if you want to spend untold hours figuring it out.

Perhaps you didn't read. I have stated two of them are on single player, of course there will be no timer. Most of the SP videos are original and uncut, and you shall notice the time spent is less than the official time limit.

And as already been stated in the video cactus broth is only necessary when you are doing no tame challenge. Maybe one of the channel is not what you are looking for (probably not my cup of tea either) because of the insane loot quality.

I didn't actually realise rockwell and its tentacle have two different classes, so you probably need to do the same thing for the tentacle.

So how you want "us" to proof? Become a YouTuber and film a series for you? As you said you have done "research", how can you missed millions of past forum posts about how to defeat alpha rockwell solo on server.

I did watch the video before but selected the wrong one here is the correct one sorry about that. This is still with singleplayer settings on, which is still possible for you on non dedicated via the host local menu. The Rockwell fight starts at 6:39 in the video.

Just don't rush out your conclusion without understanding what's going on. Maybe you didn't, 1) read I have never said it's official settings and already reiterated multiple times that he was on SP just with no SP settings so watch on your own advice and, 2) see he is doing a no dino challenge, and all he said is applying to the current strategy he is using.

I have no idea why he didn't do it with dinos in his alpha fight, but just hold on if you are about to say "because it's not possible with dinos". As you have mentioned you used megalosaurus, I suggest you watching a fight on a server that actually uses dinos so it matches *your* reality.

At 10:28 and in the next minute he specifically talked about his server is as difficult as official server.
It was a really tight fight but is still manageable, with another person it's definitely not an issue.
