This allows my dedicated server to boot up without any issue. 336.24 shows as the version.
However, none of the clients can see the server in the list. 678.7 shows as the latest client version.
This seems like something they should have corrected within 1-2 days. What's the deal?
This link was the first one I know of to post the SteamCMD workaround.

Embarrassing.
your welcome
with respect, welcome to the world of modern gaming. from my personal experience with modern games its all about money. the creators are more concerned about their bank accounts then they are with their creations. they may act like they care but its just a front.
I am a 30 year man. I remember when games were actually made from the heart. I remember when games were just released and not messed with after that. I miss that peace of mind. this new trend of lets release a game that is not finished so that we get feedback and make it even better does more harm then good. ark is proof of that.
all these modders make beautiful mods just to have them broken because wildcard wont leave their game alone. I like all the content they added up to gen 2 don't get me wrong but constant updates make me worried about when their next update gonna come out and break something. in this case they broken their own unofficial dedicated server hosting system thru steam and now we have to go thru hassle of a standalone just to fix what they broke.
back in my day you never had this problem. all you had to do was buy a game and you either liked or you didnt. I personally think that is still the way it should be. seeing what happened 3 days ago is all the more reason i feel that way. they should take the time to actually make a game before releasing it and then they should leave it alone so players can play with peace of mind knowing their hours of work wont be tampered with because an update comes out and changes something.
be well readers of my post. and your welcome to all that i have helped both now and in the future.
Again Thank you very much.
Agreed.
They have to know what is happening in the community right now with everyone's server.
Have they made any comment on it?
