It's easy to test on Aberration, because instead of skeleton dinos you just get *normal* ones. The only plus side is that this time they let people keep the zombie wyverns. The first time they "cleaned up" the holiday assets they deleted all existing zombie wyverns, too. (Although since in my single player save they weren't ridable, it wasn't really a huge loss. Wyverns are nearly impossible to manage if you can't ride them.)
Agreed, I stopped playing on multiplayer and liked to keep exploring and seeing what new color combos I could find or stuff inside the drops.
Taking out the event assets was pointless
Actually the color variations are the only thing that still works from events when using the server startup argument. You just can't get drops anymore afterwards, and cant craft any event items in the cookpot. I had tons of halloween items to craft with still, and now they are all gone.(i thought i could extend the event and keep collecting)
I'm sure this was yet another way to try to free up resources to get official servers to run better, at the expense of everyone else.
