[Aberration] Navigating the red zone on a rock drake (and getting lost)

How do you guys go about it? I find myself getting lost more often than not. The only area I've grown familiar with is the spine and the grave of the lost. Everytime I go to the Reaper Queen area I get lost even with the map and gps (and this is even after I've tamed 4 reaper kings so far). I haven't even started exploring the left half of the red zone (the side with the 3rd cave), I have my hands full navigating the right half. There's so much to see and so much to explore that I keep getting sidetracked and lost, not to mention constantly dodging Reaper Queens doesn't help my sense of direction.
So, how do you guys go about it? Do you get familiar with the paths with time or still keep getting lost?

Tbh I find myself getting lost quite easily in red zone as well even though I have already been there for long time, especially when I am gliding in the air and do not pay much attention to the land marks. Dodging and luring creatures into the element pool make it worse, and ended up circling around the same area over and over again. Everywhere except the spine in the red zone looks pretty much the same, and the dark red ambient color worsen the situation.

Searching for the entrance to the cave of elemental vault in red zone took me something like 30min, because I can't stop circling in the same area.

Sometimes it might be better to just walk on the ground and sticks to the path and have in mind the direction you should be going to avoid circulation.

I am super bad at navigation, a little forest can get me lost even with a map and GPS, but I still quite enjoy going out on land, the felling of losing direction makes up the experience of adventure.

I know that feeling hahaha, it's still fun nonetheless. Once I beat aberration I might go enemyinvisible and just explore the red zone without the hassle of getting ganked by queens and drakes and enjoy the view.
