The trailer being fully AI means a couple of things:
1) They basically have nothing concrete to show, merely "concepts of a plan", meaning they might not even start actual planning for the DLC once they get enough money from pre-orders.
2) They are unwilling and/or unable to pay an artist or animators or whatever to put together something actually decent. God forbid they actually put in effort, or even... an investment! 😱
Also note that it's not Wildcard that's developing the DLC, they have already disavowed it. And whatever their overlord Snail's planned stand-in is, as the video I posted earlier shows, it's all at the fickle mercy of a single majority shareholder. Shi.
Unfortunate but cash grab and repeat unfinished games would be my assessment from all I've found looking into Ark as a consideration. Gotta say it has me against getting a game from this studio. Ark or otherwise if this is how they "do business".
Completely agree with both of you.
