Do i have to buy the season pass again for genesis?

I swear i already got it before the first genesis came out. Why do i now have to buy two? Can they just call it genesis 2 instead of season pass because its confusing.

If you have the genesis season pass you have access to genesis 1 AND 2. but part 2 only releases March 2021

They call it Season pass, because this includes Genesis 2 and they only sold gen1 and gen2 in the season pass not seperately.

If you meaning with that, that Genesis part 2 isnt out there yet. then you should look on the dlc's store page it will be released in march 2021.

I know, i just looked at the store and it was offering me the season pass again for money and was wondering if i had to buy it again or it was a dif one.

Hey I'm having the same problem as you even tho Genesis part 1 and 2 are out and recently I had to move ARK to another drive but the store keeps saying I didn't buy this expansion. Though in the game I'm able to summon genesis creatures (I summoned the void wyvern) and yet there's no map. Before the drive move I was able to play on both maps and I'm going to lose it if I have to buy the damn pass again.

You can always summon DLC creatures without even buying the DLC. That has always been the case. They are a part of the base game.

DLC's themselves are just the maps. For which they are not automatically downloaded and I suspect you've simply not chosen to download it. Steam Game properties. DLC tab. Select it.

Your issue is unrelated to the OP's. They were mistaking the original season pass for the genesis season pass.

If you have purchase issues. Log a support ticket with Valve.

Go to ark in your library on steam and right click it - properties - then click DLC - Gen Season pass and it will download
