What difficulty value you'd recommend on setting in a private session

I wanted to set the difficulty to 1.0(max) I'm trying to get a max dino breed. But I'm worrying 1.0 difficulty would make the game too boring, like ascendant quality gear all over the place. Need some suggestion on difficulty set

5 is the max with out using the override difficulty ini setting. Dino levels are a high oof 30 lvls x difficulty setting. So 1 is 30 max lvl and 5 is 150 max. My self I don't go less then 5.

I went with 5.0x but I've perceived little difference in terms of dino levels (obv big differences in loot). I suppose a level 5 versus 150 is far different than a 1 vs 30 but I've played hundreds of hours on both settings and noticed nothing.

However dino level interacts strongly with taming rate so I just stick to "default" which is 1x rates and 5x difficulty. Ofc they're changing what "default" means now because thought is hard.

I'm confused, I can only set difficulty to 1.0, from General setting before launching the game. Where did you guys get 5.0?

I would leave it at 1 and use mods to increase difficulty. I started playing on a server with primal fear and it has the normal difficulty dinos but then higher tiers dinos that make it harder

Look for “difficulty” in the Workshop. You can put wild dino levels quite high.

I believe you override the slider my manually entering 5. But that probably depends on how you play. I use ASM so likely different.
