Second: Every fan-made map brings tons of redundant data with them. Normally they would copy official stuff like rock / vegetation meshes or materials they like in their own map folders and rename them something totally inconsistent and move on. And yes! Me as a mapper, I'm no exception. But Wildcard is too lazy or just overwhelmed by the amount of redundant data, that fan-made maps create. On top they are not responsible enough and just continue going down the same hole... This game became the biggest rag rug of the gaming industry, I'm done with it.
As a map maker you should know that 95% of the files are already uncompressed for modding and need no "cracking" open when updating.
Massive, lol. Takes literally 5 to 10 minutes to download 16 gb. Most of the updates are under 1 gb. And 158gb does not take long either.
If you need to download 158 gb to update you havent been playing for a loooong time.
