Assuming we're talking either official or default server and decay settings, what you describe sounds like a situation where perhaps there was a rollback or similar reversion to a previous save where your logging in last night was reverted and you then missed the timers there after.
This is why its a good rule of thumb when you're kiting decay timers to not wait until the very last day/hours before timers run out. Cryo fridges for example take a pretty long time to decay(unless the floor under it was at a shorter timer mind you) so you may have been gone a pretty long time when you should've logged in sooner.
Did you try to relog? sometimes it is just a display error.
Edit: I'm assuming you base was made of metal since you have cryofridges.
Then as kai asked, are you on pvp or pve? If pvp then players can destroy your stuff. If on pve then dinos can but unless you were playing with wood or thatch the likelihood a dino destroyed stuff is small.
Edit due to timing: Then as kai said its either a glitch, gm intervention(if you were up to shenanigans), or a dino intervention.
Was it a situation that it was destroyed when you had logged in or was it destroyed after you'd logged in?
Sometimes there are rare situations that if you are building onto a structure then demolish a portion of it that in a different part of the base it causes things to go poof.
Also, was it just the fridge or also the foundation/ceiling under it as well?
If you are not on a specific server, the decay timer starts. So if you were playing on another server in a cluster and didnt return to your other base on the other server before the decay timer ended that can be a factor (and again with rollback considerations too).
The more details you start to provide the more its creating different potential variables. Ceilings can be a common demolish issue when you demolish something else somewhere else on a base in rare occasions as I mentioned before.
