Friend's Server Doesn't show up in Session List

My friend makes a server by running a non-dedicated session in the Host Ark menu, but I can't find it in the server list. Tried filtering sessions, nothing came up. I've had to join by clicking 'Join Game' in the Steam overlay, but this is getting really annoying as it hangs for a while before loading the game whenever I do this. Any ideas on how to solve this?

Try to use the server search box for the name of the server. Tell your friend to check out Ark Server Manager. Good Luck.
