flying tapejara from front seat?
Did they patch it so you cant do this anymore. Used to be able to board the front seat and use whistles to get it to walk off a ledge and then it would fly staminaless forever. Used to be the easiest way to pull down a quetz solo.

Worked it out while looking for other tips to tame a quetz over on dododex. The secret is to first tell the tapejara to follow you. then move away from it until it flys to catch up. Hold the use key on it as it flys past and board the front seat. then start hammering the go to here button (normally comma) while looking at the sky and voila! Now you can fly it around with whistles without it ever using stamina AND you can fire from the front seat to tame that elusive quetz. Just dont stop whistling or it will eventually come down and land and you'll have to start the process again.

Interesting. I just always landed within sight of the quetz, hopped in the front seat and whistled "attack this target". When the quetz was knocked out I would jump off and parachute down. I could never get the "land this flyer" whistle to work.

I've always used the fly by whistle method to FIND the quetz, because of the infinite stamina. As to landing i just whistle it down to the ground before jumping off. Doesn't have to land, just has to be at ground level so i dont hurt myself.
