Need tips using dino leash item.

Im trying to set specific areas for dinos to wander in.
Its for farming and to look cool lol

Ok i prebuilt pens before trying the leash. I found out it has a 3x3 minimium setting and a 6x6 or so setting. my issue is i made pen 5x15 in size. so one setting is to low and next is too high. With range being round it is hard to figure out how to use them in my pens.

I dont have many electronics so dont want to waste them testing things out :-) With out rebuilding pens for 3rd time... How can i give more space for dinos to wander with out range breaching past walls. But let them have more area inside pen to wonder.

Reasons for specific ranges is due to base size one side can spawn when other isnt lol But when walk through base "Floor is glass to look into shark pens" want to see dinos moving inside their specific pens.

EDIT - not sure if matters but due to where pens built they are over 20 walls deep while only 5x15 foundations wide/long.
