I don't recommend joining, especially linking your account. It increases your surface area for admin abuse. Since admins are volunteers, and over the years have had many, many bad actors use admin for their own gain... yeah... no thanks. Join at your own risk.
I don't play on official servers so I think I should be fine? Unless there's something I'm missing.
Note
● You'll need to be on this server for 10 minutes in order to react.
● Please refresh Discord using Ctrl+R if the reactions are not visible to you.

@Verified Hey early birds, welcome to the shiny new Discord. You'll notice a slowmode on the text channels which we'll ease up as the dust settles. We'll also be rolling out new channels as we progress. There may be a delay on your react role sticking as we're putting the bot under a bit of duress atm. If your role isn't assigned after some time, you can message Dodo mail and ask a mod to manually assign the roles you'd like.
********
And lastly, if you want to use the discord once you have a role assigned, you need to click the Rules section and then click to react to it to access the channels:
"In order to grant yourself access to the server, you have to agree to the rules by clicking the below."
Your paranoia born of perhaps having been involved in shenanigans before, you are aware that you do not have to use the same ID's you do for the website/steam/etc right? They're not going to be able to know who you are on the discord unless you tell someone.
They have unofficial server channels both pvp and pve.
Honestly though I people are over hyped about this. I remember exactly how their other previous(and yes they've had other discords in the past that have been open/closed at different times) have gone and I do not see there being much difference there to the the other various mediums of twitter, reddit, official forums here etc. Discord's a pain for the chat roll(even on slow mode. I don't see it it being an improvement over all the other avenues of things and just another way to perhaps bounce the tennis ball around to a certain degree.
Already watching the chatroll there, I'm seeing the same types of antics on here of people who end up getting redbadges here and have moved on to there to do the same. Its silly.
I literally said I sat there for hours after clicking the roles, and when I posted this, none of the specifications were there in regards to the message by Dollie. The bot wasn't working, this morning it is.
Um no. What you said was:
"I clicked the role reactions hours ago" does not have the same meaning as "I sat there for hours clicking the roles."
Hence why I gave the info for your benefit, but I also gave it for the benefit of others who may have the same/similar or other issues.
Somehow you misread my 2nd post.
I said the same thing both times, stating that I clicked the roles and even after hours of waiting nothing happened.
There was a 10min countdown, and I was initially the 985th person to have clicked PC after the cooldown (oddly specific to remember, but I was in a VC and we memed the hell out of it). Waited half a day, checked this morning, still none of the roles I'd clicked initially.
I tried again and this time it worked, but on and off yesterday some of my friends tried to get their roles / access to the channels, to no avail.
