Yah..I haven't really done much in the water yet. I'm only level 42 and the only aquatic tames I have so far are ones I can't make saddles for yet. :-/
I'm scared as hell of water in ARK IF I don't have tames along that are tough, f'ing died so many times in my first character (on the Island) going into water.
Ahh, that makes things make a LOT of sense. Totally explains why I haven't seen them and why the wiki doesn't make mention of them.
Thank you for taking the time to reply. I think you are right and I will stop looking for them. :0)
Thanks for the tip! I'll remember that when I finally get over there.
I started in the South west, so the North east is a part of the map that's furthest away to which I have not yet gotten.
I actually originally started in the South...but I died over and over and over and over and over and over and over again, so then tried South west and ended up staying there (and surviving!) as I established myself. It's where my base is now.
I'm only level 42, so have only had the ability to fly for a short time (and actually prefer using flying sparingly anyway), but I'll get there eventually! So far my reach has only extended as far as the desert to the east (been all the way through it to the swamp area though), and the redwoods to the north.
I really do like this map though. More than the Island. It feels more natural.
