TLC for DLC creature
Ok, everyone has seen the announcement of the next TLC, we know there is the mammoth and another currently unknown creature. However, with some friends we looked at Ark's roaster and listed some creatures that would deserve a TLC, either because of their uselessness as such or because they have nothing left for them.

First, I would suggest the Phoenix. Why will you ask me? Well, because he has absolutely nothing left for him.

Living Forge? Magmasaur

Flying mount Fire-breathing?
Amber Wyvern and Fire Wyvern.

Extreme speed?
Griffin, Managarmr

Golem Slayer?
MAGMASAUR

All the Phoenix is reduced to is being a rich Phiomia. It is a mythological creature for the love of god, it must be usable even today and have its own little thing that makes it unique!

What could he do to improve it? Make it a real terror, a huge crowd control. He could perhaps make walls of fire when he is in rocket mode close to the ground, that his flames take a percentage of life or other, in his dino file it is understood to be a repeating war machine fire and destruction, and that's what I wish to see in this creature that was just thrown around by WildCard.

Anyway, if you too want to offer dinos that are unfairly treated or unnecessary, do yourself a favor, of course describe how they are and maybe try to suggest solutions.

Your Steam name is very appropriate.

I know, but it's not the only one that I think of, there is also the Thorny Lizard, Sabertooth, or even the Basilisk, only those I do not see yet what they could change / improve on them , so I didn't quote them.

Standard Wyverns need to be allowed to breed. Same with Rock Drakes. Rock Drakes I especially never understood, they're literally travel mounts.

true, true, the Crystal Wyverns and Magmasaur can, so there's no good reason they can't.

Its kind of Confirmed to be Mantis's

Lots of creatures deserve more love.
Like Gasbags, who have the ability to fly hundreds of meters into the air but die because of fall damage? Unless you jump off at the last second, then they're fine. So stupid.

I know someone who can actually control the Gasbag quite well, but yes he need to take very less fall damage.

It's not that I CAN'T control the gasbag, it's that I shouldn't have to.
Why make a giant balloon creature that can fly hundreds of meters but make him die if he does. And sure you can jump off at the last second so the creature doesn't take fall damage but it feels like cheating and is a stupid mechanic.

Not only do gasbags have a unique travel mechanic, but they're meta in several different ways. The exact last dino that needs a looking at is the Gasbags.

Let's agree to disagree.
I don't like the idea of breeding rockdrakes and wyverns. Collecting the fertilized eggs is a fun challenge that never gets boring to me. And coming back from an egg run with your pockets filled with eggs is always satisfying.

Drake egg runs are awful. Sit around and respawn eggs for 10 minutes until you get an egg that's greater than 150. Not to mention that they're simply too weak to be non-breedable, and completely irrelevant in the face of the very much breedable Managarmrs on the maps that allow them (Which is every map except genesis).
Even so, having breedable Drakes and Wyverns won't prevent you from going on your egg runs, it'll simply make the creatures more relevant than they currently are.

1. Not ever creature in the game needs a tlc.
2. To date, TLC's have been for creatures that were released at the very start of development and -not- from any of the dlcs. Expect that, given to the winding down of the development cycle for Ark, that if any future TLC updates are to occur, the likelihood that you'd see some from the dlcs getting done are slim to none.
3. All tlcs to date have been with as I said the core game(ie island map dinos). Free dlc's would be a last priority from a business standpoint to give a tlc for since there's no paid dlc incentive. Thus creatures like the griffin would not be given such consideration.

4. The devs do not interact on these forums other than to post the patch notes or the community news blurbs These sorts of suggestions then have little merit other than being social with other players on it. If you're looking to have devs see your suggestions then Twitter, Reddit, or the official forums in that descending order are your better bets. Just be aware you're not the first nor the last and every tlc announcement triggers people saying similar(and they're wants never are accommodated).

Ahah, i know, i know, it is above all to share my point of view and my ideas with others and to listen to what they have to say or propose in their turn. Who knows, maybe one day a modder will stumble upon it and decide to do their own TLC of the creatures mentioned. I'm sure we can find some cool ideas! ^^
