Singleplayer difficulty level?
I've played this game pretty much exclusively in single player and recently I wanted to raise the max difficulty level of my worlds. So i raised the difficulty to 10 in the general settings, went into a map and used destroywilddinos, and when they respawned, nothing changed in their levels. So then I went into the gameuser.ini file and change the difficulyoffset there, and it still did nothing after logging into a world and doing destroywilddinos. Any solutions to raise the difficulty above 1?

f you are just changing settings from the ingame settings list, you can not increase the difficulty passed 1. You need to edit the ini file for your saved game and add a line to override the default difficulty. The default location for your saved game ini is here:
Programs Files/Steam/Steamapps/Common/ARK/ShooterGame/Saved/Config/WindowsNoEditor

You will see a bunch of files inside. The one you want is GameUserSettings. Open it in Notepad and scroll down until you find [ServerSettings]. Under that you will see DifficultyOffset=1.00000. Leave that alone but just under it make a new entry OverrideOfficialDifficulty=#, so it looks like this:
[ServerSettings]
DifficultyOffset=1.000000
OverrideOfficialDifficulty=10

Now thats a copy paste of my settings. I have the Override set to 10 so I get lvl 300 max wild Dinos. If you want higher here is a simple list for values:
1 = lvl 150
10 = lvl 300
20 = lvl 600
And so on.

You can set it to as high as you like. I think there is a max value but I havent heard what it is specifically. But I have seen up to lvl 1200 wild dinos with just modifying this setting. And like what someone said above you will need to use the destroywilddinos once you have loaded in to kill off all the old dinos that used the lower setting to spawn.

Pulled that from a google search, im sure there are youtube vids that can show you as well

In your gameusersettings.ini

Close Ark 1st!!

Shootergame/saved/config/windowsnoeditor- edit gameusersettings.ini

Add

[ServerSettings]
Difficultyoffset=1.0
Overrideofficialdifficulty=5.0

(5 is official setting - 150 wilds)

Save.

Start game

To expand on what Vesuvius stated, Overrideofficialdifficulty is the only setting that matters. You cannot raise the offset above 1. On the override, 5=150, 6=180, 7=210, etc....

Note : 1= 150, in Serangals post is incorrect.
5= 150

Whatever you set it to comes in multiples of 30

5x30=150 with dino lvls being multiples of 5,10,15,20 ... 150

10x30=300 with dino levels being multiples of 10,20,30,40....300 etc etc
