Can't join server's with mods?

I can't join any server's with mods on them. every-time i try too join it it gets closer and closer too joining and gets too a halt and stops. doesn't let join, just sends me back too the main menu of Ark... any idea why?

You don't have all of the mods on that server installed. Each time you join, it finds, downloads, and installs the mods until the connection times out. It times out to prevent you from being stuck in an infinite loading loop. The server doesn't know that you are spending that time downloading and installing mods and since connecting is time based, you get kicked once you exceed the time limit.

i have all mods instal and still i cant join to any server it just kicks me to main menu

Find out what mods are needed, then subscribe to them in the workshop and download all of them outside of the game.

Once they are all downloaded try to join.

You may want to clear your download cache in the Steam settings first.

Necroing this old thread is pointless for many reasons. "Same" symptoms does not mean the same causes.

Make your own thread and:

1. Go to the steam help menu, click "system information" and copy paste all that in your new thread so folks can see what steam detects for your rig and any possible discrepancies.

2. List all mods that server is using.

3. Make sure you also go to the battlemetrics website, search for that modded server and make sure its actually up(check its stats page).

this works, it just helped me get onto mts

could someone help me when im trying to play with mods in single play they arent showing in mod setting when they finish installing like primal fear, upgrade station,and alot more but i deleted ark and reinstalled but still isnt working could someone help me with this

It is better to play on server with no mods becuase mods destroyed ark long time ago.

You need to wait until the mod has installed.

Exit ark.
Use steam to download.
Start ark.
Look down the bottom right main menu.
Wait for the install notice to go away.
Then go into SP and setup your instance.

the mods do finish installing but when i go to mods in the steam folder nothing shows and when i open sp nothing shows too

The user "zero" is not a troll, he is correct. This game is horribly bugged, I've had discussions with the ARK devs and with the issues they present, and they basically told me to go f*ck myself. $60 down the drain, and hours/days of troubleshooting down the drain as well. Now, on an entirely different computer and different account, the first issue is gone and I have this stupid "please ensure the Server you are attempting to join is running the latest version of all Mod content". I have done every troubleshooting method presented to me, none of them work. Uninstalled and reinstalled the entire game. Don't tell me to ask the Admins to update the mods, IT'S ALL MODDED SERVERS. No server that is under the category "with mods" works. Servers with mods that don't advertise that they have mods work. Servers that have S+ yet don't advertise it WORK. Servers that advertise having mods DON'T. Any solutions from people that have had this issue and know what I am experiencing, like zero?
