I found it underwater after swimming through a long under-water tunnel after diving into the lake inside the Bee Cave. That underwater tunnel eventually comes out into another cave with an exit to the surface,, so there are at least two ways to get to it.
It was a pretty long swim to get to the ore. I had a scuba tank, not sure if there are places to refill for air on the swim if you don't have one of those, because I didn't pay attention to that.
Could be other places the ore is on the map as well, that's just the one I found.
GPS cords?
I didn't record the coordinates for it. It was very near the tree platform base I'd built for sap and had some pretty easy to recognize rock formations around it, so I didn't feel the need to use coordinates.
My guess is it's the cave marked on the wiki's explorer map at 31.7, 29.3

The Cave was safe, as long as you don't mess with the bees, and the lake I jumped in was in the back.
