Easiest way to tame a bronto?
I just tamed one, flew around on my argy, landing and shooting it with tranq darts which took forever, finally got it back to base, and right before it gets in, it gets killed by a max level trike i accidentally hit.

I don't want to go through all this again, as it was so painfully tedious. Is there an easier way?

Not max level sorry, level 150

You gotta use traps, kill smaller things like dodos and the spitters and collect their hide and make a bola to hold it still. Once you got one they collect more narcos for you so it gets easier and things start to speed up.

Personally I play with gathering set higher to like 3 or 4.0 at least especially when single player.

My question is why would you want a bronto these days. They are big, slow, and while they were great at instantly pissing off your neighbours with server lag, I haven't seen them be useful for anything since. They don't even make that good a bullet sponge, and we'll, I find building on not moving ground tricky enough let alone off the back of a moving, breathing dinosaur.

I would put my recommendations on making a trap that consists of a few gateways and gates, but with a hole you can slip through without opening doors and knock 'er out

build a catapult on something and hit it in the head with a boulder, a couple boulders will knock it out cold

No, you just have to be careful.

Just find a cliff or something for the Bronto to stuck on.

Next time you should just cryopod the bronto. That way its safe in your pocket. Cryopods are cheap to make too. Are you playing vanilla? Or are you on an unofficial server with better taming rates? Single player?

I shouldn't mentioned I'm not super far into the game. I don't have cryopods or something better than a bronto.

If you're not high enough for a Bronto saddle.... id suggest taming close to home as possible.... otherwise... its kinda just bad luck

Have a bunch of dimorphodons with you when you escort the next one home, in case something attacks whistle your dimos to attack and enjoy the show.

I led mine off a cliff into my metal trap. Where it broke every window generator and Lamppost I had placed. And swatted me off the roof.

I just shoot and kite them, but not in a wide open area. I go for a bronto that's either below me or near a lot of rocks or trees that I can run through.

My first solo tame on this game was actually a bronto at lvl 20, so it's definitely doable (granted I did get given a longneck rifle from my tribe but the rest was still all me, lol).
