Best method to get a dino to max level (no cheats)
I've been trying to get this "max dino" achievement for a while now with out cheats and I've been finding it some what difficult. After looking at various forums I see there are there are 3 (4?) main methods:

1. Grinder+stone+friend+lysto
2. Farming death worms on scorch
3. Killing titians
4. Something about crafting large crop plants for 1.3 hours?

My main question is If either of these methods are still effective and if not what is the newest most efficient method for leveling. Plz don't recommend killing loads of creatures or alphas, this method is simply not effective if you are trying to get your dino to max lvl. Thanks in advance :) also does broth of enlightenment in anyway give an xp boost to your tames. ( Extra tribe shared xp from a tribe mate who has BOE active?)

-Grinder + friend crafting while you do a kill streak outside
-you called it = 500 deathworms
- more friends
like you mentioned, if don't mind the time choose the most fun way for ya (going amok on every livin around or craft masses while watching yt)

> Build a 3*3*3 room
> Get your dino inside (or build the room around it)
> Fill it with airconditioners and soon to hatch giga eggs
> put a lystro nearby
> as soon as the gigababies start to hatch, activate the lystroboost
> Mount your dino and execute babykillere.exe
> Have fun

Thank you to ⊥ıнᴤɴחʁͻ, fanne, Mirgromul and Syrah for your good answers, I appreciate them, I now see that the methods haven't really changed for farming xp and there isn't a single best way to farm xp for your dino. However to those of you who seem to think alphas are the best way to level a dino to max, plz reconsider checking your xp multiplier and then comparing to default settings because alphas only give good xp for beginning leveling and after that they give next to nothing. Also Explorer note are effective if combined with killed titians, grinding, killing babies, etc however 1 Explorer Note gives 400xp with X4 xp boost, so 3500000xp divided by 400=8750 Explore notes needed for max level so... ya. Anyways to wrap here are in my opinion the best ways to level a dino to max:
1. Grinding stone and crafing xp heavy items with a lystro and EN xp boost (with a friend of course)
2. Killing high level giga babies with EN xp boost and lystro
3. Killing death worms in SE with xp boost (6000xp per worm and 30 000xp with alpha)
4. Killing Titans at lvl 5 gives round 55000xp so i think it is good idea if you have a few allosaurus and a spare hour or so. BTW Migromul does the griffin have a bleeding ablity or something against titans, cuz titans are pretty tough and i find it hard to picture a griffin killing on. (personally never tamed a griffin bofore for some reason, i dont usaully play on ragnarok, could you just expand on the griffins dive bomb attack?)
Thank you all for suggestions, much appreciated :)

Griffins do low damage on its own (standard attack). What a griffin can do, is a dive-strike (NOT a bomb!) e. G. Dive to get speed then go to level flight and attack above the target. I didn't combat a Titano, yet, but I even killed a rock-elemental with this attack (this was before the nerf, though and has taken a while...). Level up stamina, this is important. The dive costs a lot of stamina.
After the hit, get to height and repeat. If you play SP you should see the damage, but a titano is big enough without the position of the damage, I suppose... ^^ (This helps, if you're farming chitin and organic polymere against mantises, though.) I do ca. 180 damage with my high-level-griffin on Ragnarock, but good 2000 with the dive-strike against a bronto. And I didn't solemly level damage. I also packed a good amount in stamina and weight.

From my experience, it seems, you can safe stamina, if you keep holding the shift-key, even if you're flying up again. Just get up, turn and get down again, without releasing the shif-key.

You also can farm chitin, organic polymere, and prime meat with this method. A Bronto takes max. 5 attacks to kill, if the griffin is leveled in damage. It's easy possible to get 30 prime meat with a dive-strike against the corpse of a Paraceratherium.

I recommend a griffin, because, it's the fastest flyer of the game, with its dive-speed. You can cross the SE-Map from the red to the green obelisk in just 3 Minutes or so. (This is a felt guess, since I didn't stop the time, though...)

If you don't want to use the griffin to combat the Titano, you also can use your rocket-launcher. The griffin is the only flyer, which allows weapons for the pilot. You can't dive, if your're holding somthing, though. AND: the grififn supports 2 riders, if you're playing with someone. (I don't know, if you can dive, with a second rider, bacause I play mostly SP.)

When I'm solo raising a mob of 20 for a boss run, its not viable to manually power up them all by grinding mobs. In this case I make use of Lystrasaurus using a 2 layered platform.. I keep them parked above a single floor of lystra's and pigs using optimal spacing of each so they all overlap each others buffs. Around a dozen of them is about right... enough to really multiply the buff but not so much that its a total PITA to keep petting them.

It takes about 30 secs to pet them all... do that every 5 min while at base and I get about a dozen levels per pet x20.

Hm. I think, the OP just wants the "max level-achievment"... And I don't know, if you're realy need all your dinos at max level for a boss in SP. (I didn't fight one, yet, though.) Breeding with good stats and mutations is more important, I suppose.

True. I'll start with a high stat pair that I breed my 20 out of... but power leveling like this could make the difference between an Alpha and Beta run. Though admittedly I have also found myself ridiculously OP at times...

Thank you man, I'll be using this a lot, appreciate it :)

Wait so the lysto buff stacks?!

Lol same I've breed 16 Rex's and they are ridiculous, I kill a then work in about 5 seconds XD, but as you guys said it isn't that important that you level your Rex's for early boss fights, but I would prefer go big or go home so I can do all buses. Also can someone explain why mutation is so important, (i understand it, I just don't understand why people think its so great) you may as well just tame a new dino with superior stats?
necaradan666 Nov 5, 2018 @ 9:41pm
As expected, according to a quick search the lystro buff does not stack. As for xp whatever you do is going to take forever on vanilla rates, so just grind on everything I guess.

If you have a dino with superior stats, then a dino with superior stats and a mutation is better, a dino with superior stats and 20 mutations is much better. What's not to understand?

Let's say your rex has 50+ points in health, that is very unlikely to ever find again, or find anything that is actually better for that matter. With the proper way to stack mutation, you could raise that to 70+ points in health, it will take a while to do properly but it can be done.

This is why mutations are considerd great and not just good (even mandetory for certain fights if you want to solo them and lose nothing, easier to lose a few imo but some people dont like that), you can go beyond what ever you consider the maximum obtainable stats in the game.
