Rubberbanding
Game has really much rubberbanding and porting going on for me, while my friends on the same server don't have any. My internet is even better. Only thing worse is my PC
(i7-3770 16gb ddr3 ram 1600mhz, rx480 8gb)
I play on settings that make the game run at 45 - 80 fps. In singleplayer there is no rubberbanding in multiplayer however, while having the best connection. Pteranodon flying just ports me all over the place. For example C-Roll ports me forward 2-3 times. Flying near ground rubberbands me forwards and ports me constantly. Having an ankylo followed by a para on short lags them in each other and I can't move on my client until I get in and out of the saddle.
Any idea on how to fix atleast the rubberbanding on the pteranodon?
Edit: I tried it on GeForce NOW and it has the same exact issue.

You might have a glitched connection. Try shutting off your modem/router and your PC for 10 minutes to make sure the connection is clean and fresh. You might even need a new modem altogether.
The first time I ever hear from a glitched modem.. I have no way to replace it since it's cable internet and router is especially from that company. I have a 50mbps connection and every other game runs fine
I tried restarting my PC nothing.
rubberbanding is a server thing or caused by very big bases in most cases.
Rubber banding is caused by a difference of opinion on where the server thinks your character is standing versus where the client thinks you are standing. When the client and server finally sync up again, the server says, Nope, you are not standing there, you are standing here and updates your client causing the rubber banding effect. This is almost always a packet lag issue. Are you using WiFi to connect to your router? If so, try hooking up a hard wire to make sure you are not picking up any WiFi interference. There are some free websites to help test your Internet packet speed and see if there are any packets being dropped. if so, you may need to contact your ISP about a replacement. If it is faulty, they will replace it.
0% packet loss. 15ms ping to the server. hard wired connection. bases are still small size and no other person on the server experiences any lags

In Ark, you might have rubber banding if, 1. The server is full. 2. And/or you are riding superfast dinos.

As for your cable provided modem, you can get your own modem. I have cable and I use my own modem. All you have to do is call them up to have them log your new modem to start the connection. Its mediacom, and their modems are garbage. Thats why i use my own.

are both examples for my lags. other people on theserver dont have any issue. my ping with 1000 pings is on average 15 ms with max 45 and 0% paketloss
If you can get into your router/modem settings try turning on JumboFrames. It allows for larger packet sizes.
i asked my friend and he doesnt have this and has a limit of about 1500 aswell. i will check with wireshark what is going on
and my router doesnt have an option for jumbo frames
That looks more like stuttering to me rather then rubber banding... wich could be your slow ram.
You should post what steam sees of your specs

..updated
if it would be stutters i would have framerate drops. wouldnt i? and if you watch the first video u will see my frame time doesnt have any spikes. singleplayer works just fine.
No newer driver then February?
From what is shown in the videos, that is not rubber banding. See if it happens in a single player game. If its not happening in a single player game, then the problem is your internet and/or modem.. If it still happens in a single player game then its probably some defective hardware or poor settings.

If its #1, try changing your ethernet cord. Cords can go bad. Otherwise I would call my ISP to figure why its happening. Just because its not happening with other games, doesnt mean there isnt an internet issue. Ive this kind of thing happen before. And I fixed by getting my own modem. The ISP would replace your modem with another used modem, that may or may not have issues. they re use modems. And if they replace your modem, they will reuse that modem for someone else, who also might have the same issues and so on. Even if that isnt the cause, its always better to buy your own modem, and stop paying for the monthly modem rent fees, because their modems are usually ♥♥♥♥ quality and used.
