Help: Port forwarding ASM
Greetings!
My friend and I can not find/join a ARK server created with ARK Server Manager.
I am pretty sure it has something to do with the ports not being forwarded properly.

Steps I did:
Set up the server in ARK Server Manager.
Logged in to the "Modem->NAT->Port Triggering" and entered the ports from ASM (7777 & 27015 as UDP/TCP).
Started server with ASM.
Server is not visible in ARK or Steam server browser with the xxx.xx.xx.xxx:27015 (My Public IP from ASM).

Maybe ports are entered in the wrong place, but "port triggering" is the closest I could find to "port forwarding" in the modem.
My computer is connected straight to the modem via cable.

If anyone would know how to solve this I would greatly appreciate the help :)

Can you enable NAT loopback in that virtual servers page? That needs to be enabled to get to back to your servers, which if the IP is correct as margalus mentions would be why the servers aren't reachable. Your OP mentions that's you're using your Public IP, found at top center of ASM? Yeah that's not correct, open a windows powershell or command window and run ipconfig, use the IPv4 address. Should also be visible when you select the drop down in ASM where it currently says 'Let Ark Choose'

Some modems don't have NAT loopback and those users are out of luck, have to get a new router in this case, or possibly find a firmware update.

Well, I'm not familiar with your modem, but mine has a Port Triggering page that looks somewhat similar to yours, however I didn't have to enter anything at all there. Ark/ASM ports went into my Port Forwarding page.

Another thing, since the 299.26 update out of 8 working servers my Aberration server refuses to publish, it still runs and plays fine but won't show in Steam lists or in the game browser. I have no idea why that would be, have you tried another map?

Hello,
I just tried to start "The Island" instead. It still will not show up in ARK or Steams server browser.
But! If I start ARK and go to the browser (unofficial with password) and then tab out to the Steam browser it might show up there. It is rare though and only for a short time.
If I am lucky and manage to hit connect it will start loading, but shortly after a message appears: "Unable to query server info for invite".

Strange thing is sometimes in the ARK browser it will suddenly stop searching (but still try) and the internet will stop working for a couple of seconds.
I will add that my internet is pretty fast and stable, and this only occurs while doing this.
Until now I have played "Host un-dedicated session" straight from the ARK game without problems.

My modem is a Iskratel Innbox G67.

Try looking under the Virtual Servers page. This looks a lot more like where I enter the port forwarding rules into my own router. I can't be sure because I'm looking at an Iskratel router of a different model, but I think this is the portforwarding page for your type of router.

The only thing under Security is IP Filtering->Outgoing & Incoming.
"Add reserved mapping" is not to be found in any settings in the modem.

Ports 7777 & 27015 UDP TCP is allowed in Inbound and Outbound in Windows Defender Firewall.

I removed the input I did under "NAT->Port Triggering" and instead typed in ports and IP (external) under "NAT->Virtual Servers".

Restarted modem and tried to find server in ARK and Steam browser, but no luck.

That virtual Server section looks like the wrong place. I would get rid of that.

Go back to the Port Triggering section, but do *not* enter in the data you had entered under the "Trigger" columns - leave that empty. Enter in the data you had for the "Open" columns (you should only need UDP, but the TCP/UDP setting is fine) and you should be good to go.

You have to forward the ports to the "internal" ip of the computer that is running the server, not your external ip.
The author of this thread has indicated that this post answers the original topic.

I tried to input the ports in only the "open" columns in Port Triggering page, but it says: "Require BOTH Trigger/Open port range(Start/End values)"

Wow, it worked!
The server is now findable in both the ARK ingame and Steam server browser.
I also tested with the Aberration map and it worked fine.

A big thank you to everyone for all the help!
Now if you will excuse me, we got some dinos to tame :D
