Do Solo Servers Exist?

Just got Ark on PC and I've been looking for servers to play on. On PS4 I played on a 1man pvp server since I'm not a fan of being ♥♥♥♥♥♥ by bigger tribes. Anyways, I can't find a single 1man/solo pvp server on PC. Every server is either 4man or 6man. Can't find any 1man servers at all.

Choose to Host Local and then click "Singleplayer" for the "Single Player Game." Or, you could choose Host/Local NonDedicated Server. (Single Player is the intended Singleplayer play and only has one save slot AFAIK. Local NonDedicated means you'll create what's basically a server environment on your local machine and you have access to more tweaks, etc. (You can still tweak the Singleplayer game, though.)

And, yes, the "server" scheme, in its entirety, every darn bit of the selection process just to "play" is outrageously and needlessly complex, obviously written by "coders" and not "designers." :) IMO, a great portion of the game is similarly contrived. Not saying the gameplay sucks, just there is an overall like of common design principles evident in ARK... :)

(New player, playing on XBox and know there are some differences, but it's still all needlessly complex and hamfisted design. :))

PvP isn't designed for solo tribes. Offline raiding would make it impossible to progress since its humanly impossible to play 24/7.

I'd offer you a spot in my tribe on Xbox. It's a PvE tribe on a PvP server meant to let people play casually instead of be a slave to the game while still having the option to leave the tribe and start on their own.

But you got PS4. Frankly that was my first choice too but Xbox was on sale with 50% off the first game. .__.

I dont know :D im still getting my bearings. I know i like faster taming speed! Judging from google, that seems to be a given for most people. Except i accidentally turned it down and not up somehow and took me like 40m to tame a tek stegosaurus :x that died immediately to a basilisk anyways

Awe. Yeah I don't mind some time but waiting more than a day for anything, or half a day even for a tame or to raise one is too much for any working adult. Really sucks.

Whenever I figure out what I'm doing I'll let you know what I prefer if you want :') and yes it does! I'm surprised busy people play on official servers where it takes like 5 hours to tame something high level.

I don't think I could even do that on PvE.

Solo server on PC = ASM (Ark Server Manager). You can spin up your own private solo server to play on the same PC that you actually play the game with. And it is free. (it is a little annoying to figure out how to set it up, but there are youtube videos that walk you through it) And if you only plan to play it solo on the same PC that you play from, you don't need to worry about any of the firewall port forwarding steps. That is what I do, and I love it.
