The forwarding looks ok from what i can make of it. The 192.168.1.21 is the IP of the ARK computer inside your network, correct?

What is your external IP address?

Check your router and see what IP it's getting from your internet provider. This would be the WAN settings. If you are getting anything in the 192.168.?.? or 10.?.?.? range, your ISP is giving you an internal address and your friend wont be able to connect to you regardless of port forwarding.

Hi, i'm not sure how to find the external ip address on my router. Any way you can explain what settings it might be located under? I know all routers are different but i have no clue where to look.

It's normally on the first page when you login. Lots of routers here call it the WAN settings or sometimes just Internet settings. Your basically looking for the IP address that your router got/pulled from the ISP.

Hmmmmm, these are the only things with the word WAN in it.
Ah, its the Public IPv4 Address on that last screenshot. (I would also remove that screenshot so you don't have random strangers trying to connect) :)

Make sure your friend is using that IP with the port number you have forwarded.
So an example would be 80.54.69.10:27015

I just checked it myself and can see a server at that address.

Autist server - (v304.41)

So your forwarding should be working fine.

No, that is my example so i didn't give out your real IP. Use the one from that last settings page you posted. The one that says "Public IPv4 Address". Just don't forget to add the :27015 to it.

Another thing to note, that public IP can change from time to time depending on your ISP. So if your friend cant connect at some point, check and make sure your IP hasn't been updated/changed.

How did you fix it the first time? I am starting a dedicated server and my friends try to join and it gives the "server is not responding message" but I can join just fine.
