Search bar bugged?

on my play through with the new update I'm having a real buggy problem with the search bar. It seems to only work when it feels like it and it stopped showing what you put in the search bar like it used to. It's 100% not something I'm doing since my friend is experiencing the same issue. Is there some setting I'm unaware of?
BTW I'm referencing the search bar in your inventory window pop up. Neither dinos/mamals search bars work too. Can't find any thread talking about this problem.

Working perfectly fine for me in inventory, storage and animals inventories.

Are u playing official, SP or unofficial with mods?

no mods and idk the terminology tbh. I think unofficial because I'm playing single-player
btw im on xbox one. maybe that has something to do with it. I play with mouse and keyboard and only experienced this issue post update. Pre-update as in the literal day before it worked without a hitch. Now it works off an on but it never diplays what I'm typing in the bar after I hit enter.

Are you on PC or console? If on PC make a new post. First thing i'd say to check though is all the little buttons at the top, make sure you haven't accidentally changed one of the settings for how items are displayed in your inventory.

If you have your inventory sorted on PC, unsort it, then resort it.
