Raptor color Zones in the new TLC patch

So I noticed that the raptor only has 4 color zones now. Instead of having two independent color zones on the feathers, the bottom half of the feathers are always whatever color the raptor's skin is. So if their skin is black, the base of the feathers is also black, etc etc. Does anyone happen to know if that's just how it's going to be now? Or if it's a bug? Because if that's how it is, I'm gonna miss all the fancy raptor feather colors :(

had a pure black raptor with red feathers, but now only the tips of his feathers are red and the base is black.
