So they gave that role to the Argies.
Both now have useful roles, instead of the Quetzals being the only real way to mine lots of metal
How are Argies mining animals? You can put a forge on a quetzal, not on an Argie. You can carry a ton more weight on a Quetzal than an argie (high level, max all levels to weight).
Playing SP its just far easier to tame a 8-12 argents.
Edit: And agreed with Skadi that Karkinos > all :P
lots of mid lvl tribes and solo players will use argys a lot until they get a quetzal
I guess it depends on your playstyle, but I like to stock up in big rounds so I don't have to go get the same things regularly. The quetzal will always do that better than the argy.
