Megatherium island farming

Can anyone give me some tips on where I can farm a good amount of chitin with megatherium on island?

Apart from killing dinos and waiting for insects to come..

Killing Scorpions, Titanboas, and Arthurpluras give lots of Chitin....

It's not a mega, but we used to take sabers into the east volcano cave and get tons.

Yes, caves with lots of insects.

Central cave, east of the volcano. Sabers, wolves or Raptors fit in. Ravagers should work too. Personally i prefer Sabers or Raptors because they can wear saddles, you really notice the difference in damage you take on wolves.

It refreshes really fast too. You just have to leave the cave and wait 5 or 10 minutes. Most creatures should have respawned then just beacons take longer. But you dont farm that cave for drops anyway.

I recommend you Beelzebufo this froggity is more mobile so you don't need to think much about your positioning,but if you insist on Megatherium go to the west side of the swamps and go till east i remember getting ♥♥♥♥♥ ton of chiting there ( and still doing so when short on chitin but im using a Beelzebufo so its faster ) or Swamp Cave but you'll need a Gas Mask and should be careful. (p.s haven't gone to the cave and i dont really remember if a Megatherium would even fit there)

Beelzebuffo is nice if you need small amounts fast but he only has his bonus on small insects.

The running gag of the Megatherium is that its technically a world class chitin farmer but it doesnt fit anywhere where lots of insects are. Was a good laugh when we realized that after it got introduced.
