ARK on mobile

Okay, whos excited about the fact that War Drum Studios is making a FREE ARK: Survival Evovled app?

I have a few questions though. Will there be mods for this app? And what about DLC's?

how could they implement in game purchases in a game like ark? i mean, the only way i see they could monitize it its by adding ads to it

Remember the mobile version wont have access to mods. This almost anything that mods do for us on the PC can easily be designed and implemented as microtransactions in addition to selling resources, craftables that normally a player could just simply make themselves, dino tames and so so much more.

Will they go that far? Probably not. They'll probably stick to cosmetics and or leveling boosts to see the market demand.

I read they will be adding a resource called Amber, you can't get amber any other way besides purchasing it. With Amber, you can appearantly bring back dead pets, make rare items, and a few other things like that. Amber is how they will make money off the game, people will want Amber to make rare stuff, so they will buy it.

Honestly... Ark mobile will appeal to farmville gamers.... and that is the target audience... pple that cant run Ark on pc.
