WTF can admin gun transfer between servers?

Just had my entire base and all my dinos wiped on a newish unofficial server, because it can be transferred.

Who was the genius who ever thought one might need an admin gun to transfer between servers.

So actually you know nothing besides that your Base somehow vanished.
I would ask the Admin of this unofficial Server about it, cause here no one can neither help nor explain.

And the only Rule you need to know for that matter is:
Whatever the Server owner does is within it's rights.

Ok fine. So I plead ignorance. I know the admin personally. The server itself is sponsored by my company.

Q: Is it possible to transfer an admin gun?
Q: is it possible to use if you are not an admin?
Q: Is it possible to use an admin gun outside of creative mode?

If the answer to any of these is no then I have to have a chat with somebody.

Well I had the chat and have been assured that it was not one of the admins.
That the guy who did it was banned.
That the server logs do not indicate how the item was created/smuggled into the server.

Sounds like an exploit to me.

I can disagree with this..... been running servers since the start i have never been this way unless the admin wants to play alone, they do not have the right to do whatever the hell they want, at least not without steep consiquences

this does not make sense at all, are they apart of a clluster? (multiple servers connected?) if so it might be possible?.. though i very much doubt it, more then likely it was someone just being an ass

Who pays for the server? Oh right NOT YOU. So HE is allowed to do wathever the ♥♥♥♥ HE wants on his server. Yes if he does ♥♥♥♥♥♥ stuff that makes him a ♥♥♥♥♥♥ admin, but it is still not illegal to be an ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ on YOUR OWN SERVER.

Haven't you been reading. It's the company's server. And he is but an employee. It is a little perk for the employees during the lockdown.

And to be honest I have way more trust in what he's telling me than what you're saying. He could be lying, but I definitely know him better than I know you.

Either give me information about how it could happen without an admin being involved (if it is at all possible), or make like a tree. And STFU.

If an admin has gone into creative mode to get the admin gun then went to sleep in the open without leaving creative mode, or deleting the gun then someone can find that admins body and take the gun. Could be an oversight by one of the admins on the server, even if the admin crashed and someone ran on over and grabbed it really quick. There are no exploits to spawn in the admin gun otherwise every unofficial server would be ran through by them.
Could also be an admin accidentally typing the admin password in chat, not realising it and then a player logging in and deciding to wipe some bases by smuggling some admin guns into the game.

What vlad said could very much be the case. As an admin that plays many other games with different chat settings i myself have accidently typed the pass in general chat, forcing me to update the servers for "maintanence" and change it .... Oops! Theough reading through this discussion the question of whether or not someone can loot/transfer and admin gun is a good one, WC has had other oversights...

People can transfer and loot the admin gun, just as long as the admin logs out while still in GCM. it stays on their body, I have many times found admin guns on sleeping admins, then being brushed off when i try to return them as proof I had it lmao
