Argy's won't mate
Hey can someone help me, i'm on single player and my argies won't mate. I increased the egg laying speed and the mating speed and it worked perfectly for a while but then i got a mutation so when it was grown i switched out my breeding female with the better stats and now none of them will mate. I have two females and one male. All set to enable mating (ive tried enable wandering on a hitching post as well and no change) I've tried restarting/updating etc and nothing. All say ready to mate however one of the males and one of the female have the pink hearts showing (not the red) but the other female doesnt.

Any ideas cos i literally dont know what else to try?

Mods?

Sometimes could just be a placement issue, try and move them around a bit, a little closer...I have noticed since they added the allow mating function, it seems the distance matters moreso now

Perhaps they are still on their cooldown?

Sometimes the UI dosen't update, but mating is actually happening.

did you upload/download the dino using a tek transmitter?
or put it into a cryo ball? to move it?
or perhaps use the S+ mutator to change the gender?

if you did, it will impose a cooldown on the dino by doing that

They sometimes bug out and not mate, just find a different spot and see if it works. Also make sure they're not spayed or neutered either.

Are these pure vanilla argy or modded ones, Classic flyers usually doesnt have any problems with breeding but some modded varients will hatch vanilla children.

this is very true so just keep mating and if it still doesn't work then i don't know what the problem might be.

dont have classic flyers but do have speedy flyers if that causes the same problem?. I dont think the issue is with them mating but not showing cos ive got my breeding turned up really high and they should of had about 5 babies within the time ive been trying to sort this so their defo not breeding at all.

Ive narrowed it down though, the problem is with spawned dinos; my spawned dinos are refusing to mate with born dinos (even if their born from spawned) ive tried it with 3 different pairs now and thats defo the circumstances thats causing it. any idea how to work round this? as i was on a server for months that closed down and i had an argy with 20 mutations and i dont wanna go through all the grind again so im trying to replace everything i lost :(

Make sure that you spawn SF flyers and not vanilla flyers.

I haven't but i have a soul ball mod that might do this, wouldnt it show the cooldown though? i thought that was what the "ready to mate in......" is? if it was on cooldown it wouldnt say ready to mate, would it?

even if i don't want a SF Argy? i literally have that mod on so that i can have one fast flyer. is that whats causing it? surely if im summoning a vanilla argy and mating it with other vanilla argy then it should work? if i spawn sf argys will they defo have SF babies and wont cause the same problem again?

I do not know this soul ball you speak of, but if it stores the dino and then gives you the ability to restore it, it is quite possible its on a system cooldown.

I have seen this with tek transmitters and cryo balls where as the male that is restored shows no timer of the sorts but does say ready to mate. The time can be 5-7 hours before it can be used for breeding again.
