The Center vs Ragnarok

I've played this game a few years ago, I remember them talking about adding a snow biome. Don't know when that was but I'm pretty sure these maps are new.

Now I'm planning on trying it again, singleplayer. Which map should I use for this, The Center, Ragnarok or is the Island still the best option? I sure would like some new exploration.

The Center only has the Island content.

Ragnarok adds scorched earth content also.

no, the scorched dinos will just be roaming around the map. but you wont be able to make the saddles without the dlc. wyverns dont need saddles tho so thats nice.

Not true.

Ragnarok contains all SE content, except the exclusive Phoenix. No DLC purchase required.

Didn't the center have a snow biom already at least 3y ago? or do you speak of even furhter back?

All in all rag is a larger map with more biomes and creatures.
Might comes down to what you like (stile wise).

Ragnarok allows you to build SE engrams, and it has every SE dinos... including wyverns and their eggs, but not phoenix as mentioned above.

TheCenter honestly feels more outdated to me, more than TheIsland even. But it's still playable for sure, and it's a fun map. I wouldn't call it my favorite though.

And also, if you're playing single player or hosting a server, you can include dlc dinos and engrams without needing to purchase them. You can add them via config files or mods, but the latter is easier if you don't mind having extra mods.

The Center has had a Snow Biome since like 2016.

The Center is a really bad map. Dino Disappearance Central, thanks to the ruins.

Ragnarok also has exclusive to Rag "dino's" - ice wyvern and griffen.
