681% dmg for a longneck, on Official cap is 298. So to get 681, they are playing with boosted rates, you can increase loot quality in game settings and server settings. 300 Dura Flak armor is weak armor, cap is like 1500 or something, but anything above 800 is great.

The Island water caves are great for drop hunting... Extinction Orbital Drops, purple and red, are great but require tactics and good tames, mainly Gigas... Aberration surface drops are good. I think there is even a cave on The Center that is decent. I am sure there are other maps and places, but these, especially Island and Extinction, is where you are going to find really good BPs. The Lava Golem cave on Ragnarok can also be a good place, plus the desert drops can give good items and BPs.

You are new, so your level is assumingly below 105, but even if you were 105 and took a mindwipe tonic and put every level into crafting, you could craft some good items from BPs, and make some decent food/water schematics.

On the Island, running those underwater caves are easy with cactus broth, a chair and scuba gear (just flippers and tank). You can increase drop loot quality by taming a Liopleurodon, water creature that lasts 30 minutes, every time you ride it and get off you get 300 secs of boosted loot quality, passive tame with honey.
