You were likely using two foundations and the second foundation keeps snapping to the first foundation instead of the column.
step 1: make a stone fence foundation, a pillar and a stone/metal foundation.
step 2: with the sail turned ON line the fence foundation up with the middle of the raft pointing at the sail mast then walk forward so the mast is going through the 2nd hole on the fence foundation and place it. then u can turn the sail back off.
step 3: put the pillar on the end of the fence foundation in the middle of the raft.
step 4: when u place the stone or metal foundation next to the pillar it should pop in the exact perfect position and height :)
step 5: delete the fence and pillar.
Dude you are a f###ing genius! You should totally do a video on YouTube. Everyone uses the long way method and yours is the best answer! I'm so lucky I ran into this comment!
