Remote acces to storage
Hi, couldn't find this one, sorry if already answered somewhere:

Is there a way to acces items/resources you have around the base (boxes, etc) and use them (when building for example) without actually having to put them in the character inventory?

I know other crafting/survival games have a similar feature. Not that it actually bothers me, just curious.

i don't know about remote storage, but all the crafting tables if close enough to the storage boxes will auto access the storage containers for resources.

I don't know of any survival game that allows you to access resources from a different container while at another container to transfer items without using a player made mod to do so.

I believe the closest thing you are going to find is a feature in mods like S+ and Super Structures that allow you to pull resources from other containers nearby. There is a button to pull just enough resources to build one thing at a time but the main feature is you can select items from a list to pull and then see all creatures and containers that have at least one of said item. You then have the option to pull some or all of that item. It is pretty handy, especially if you forgot where you put that Element you just had or looking to see how much stone you have on hand. The range to objects you can pull from can be set in the INI file.
