Is there a way to disable console in singleplayer games?

Just got done beating XCOM 2 on ironman (a mode that disables console and player saves) and was really hoping ark had something like this. I.E. A game mode where If i lose a dino it's FINAL.

ARK's pretty old so i'm certain they've got to have a way to disable cheats - i mean even minecraft does. So can yall help me find it im stumped

I think there is a mod that improves on this.

As for single player console it's a matter of willpower.

thats dissapointing, i really cant believe theres no "ironman mode" or anything like that in singleplayer

makes me almost want to get into modding, im looking right now and theres a ton of mods out there that are hardcore (lose all EXP on death) - but none of them disable console

Ark depends on the console to fix issues with single player game sometimes. Or to kill yourself when you get stuck due to map bug. Nonetheless, doesn't really matter. WC only considers bragging rights from Official Servers, not single player.

Don't press tab. By doing this, you will effectively disable your console.

Yeah just set up a hotkey on your tab to output some key not used in ARK, effectively removing your ability to use the tab key without disabling the hotkey.

You could rebind console to a button you don't use and remove it from your keyboard. If youre incapable of not pushing a button.

Well i found a "way" of doing that, just run your own server:

Go to ark instalation folder

...\SteamLibrary\steamapps\common\ARK\ShooterGame\Binaries\Win64 (if you are running on windowns)

create a .bat script (something like start_server.bat)

a copy paste:

start ShooterGameServer "[GAME_MAP]?Listen?SessionName=[MY_SESSION_NAME]?AltSaveDirectoryName=[MAP_SERVER_FOLDER]?ServerAdminPassword=[ADMIN_PASSWORD]?ServerPassword=[LOGINPASSWORD]" -clusterid=[CLUSTERID] -NoBattlEye
exit

Be sure to replaces values in [brackets] for your own values and undestand the sintax of server launch options there's even more options to place in thate file. Then create a shorcut to this server file at your convinence and launch it! (server will take a time to load)

The console is usually disabled at start. When dino die they die. Or just remove the tab key or ~ lol.

I don't think its possible, I may be wrong tho. I'm not really a pro at this. I'm assuming you want something that removes it completely so it doesnt give you that urge to cheat..
