I know having 12 ac's can hatch any egg in any biome but say if i have 15 ac's and say a bronto egg with 3 hours on it, am i able to look away for 3 hours without worry of the health ever going down?

Yes. About 6-8 AC's is sufficient for anything I believe. Best to put them in a U shape with the eggs resting in the center. If they're not too hot or cold, they will not lose health ever. But they may hatch when you're not looking.

Either use a timer to prevent that (hatch times on wiki) or s+ mod with the hatchery.

Put your AC's under the floor and color-code the hatch area ;)

I put mine under the floor too. It looks much nicer.

Cheers, I',m never fussed about anything ever looking nice on the game tho, useally get a fabricator/smithy/forge/L storage box and bed in a 2x2 lol have to crouch to get in and jump on smithy to access everything. pretty cool solo compact base xD in my breeding pen, my 12 a'cs are all in one corner, but i lost health to brontos and quetzals ect sometimes.

safe to say need about 15-20 to not worry about them at all :)... i got wiped before i could hatch them :'(
