Rollrats are useless!!!!!!!!

The Roll rat? what are they used for other than being the dumbest way in the game to collect wood, just like the horse on SE, Please a show of comments if I'm wrong or right...
But who in ARK hell wants to have a dino that can carry wood, stone with a weight reduction follow behind you with a roll rat and constantly get on and off to fill up your Ravanger with wood and repeat? not to mention the roll rats cant turn or well be rode at all with the saddles degrade like fairs fairs for pvp but who is gonna take a roll rat pvping lol, Did 2 trips to red gems with a roll rat i felt like 5 dodos would have been more efficient and safer, in other words dont ever acidently roll into a corner in the luminous marshlands try getting out of that one... Alive i didnt and well cant say im gonna tame another roll rat lol, Please tell me the beaver are hiding on aberration. Please Fix the roll rat to acutally be able to turn or just scap that bring castoroides to Aberration. or can someone tell me how they use there rollrat and get wood lol..... trouble-free.

Rollrat’s supposed to serve as the substitute for both wood gatherers and siege creatures like Gigas golems and titans (They break metal)

yea when u use thier rolling move....but u have to be sparing with it since rolling will eat away at the saddles durability which will eventually break

only the horse was never intended to gather wood, that's why the thorny dragon is there

and the horse is awesome, it's basically an industrial mortar (not chem bench)
weight reduction + can craft on the go

a horse can easy have 1400-1600 weight so that's alot of sand you can transport, on land
a doedi with 2 horses on follow to gather sand
then a wyvern with 2k weight to gather sap from the bag cactus

and happy crafting tons of clay in a chem bench

Yeah the horse was pretty good but still just an example i mean like seriously the roll rat is a horrible wood collecter with a ravanger, the turn radius is unbearable, even if they break metal i play solo and pvp and solo i JUST want a better way to collect wood :(

well ur pretty s.o.l there since the beaver and the thorny dragon dont exist in aberration, meaning its either roll rat or axe for wood

Yeah Axe out still on the ravanger then press f transfer, up my elevator then bank it. seems to do well but just a bit annoying.

my high lvl died in water because it couldnt go out of it while all dinos could in the same place

I jump a lot so the rat change position quicker.
( just click right mouse button very short )

Lowlevel rats for sure are a pain to collect woods, but pump a bit weight on highlevel and its ok.

The sideffect of wild rats rarely spawning red gems got me to my first gas collector
and as a transporter that thing is so incredible fast.

It s really a weird new "thing" but it works imo.

Yeah my level 76 died while trying to go backwards in the luminous marsh after i rolled into a corner out of stam, had no chance lol just ran left the saddle and said to myself never taming one again!

Was close to that point too,
jumped of and tought "if you die now.." but rat level 13x is not bad as fighter,
seems to move even better in fight then with rider ^^

They are super quick to get around. Im mot sure about there mining wood or stone.

Harvesting wood is ok, more like beaver then like a Mammuth, Theri or Thorny.
They don t harvest stone afaik.

Mind though - you can carry this repair tool now to repair the saddle on the fly.

oh me, i do!

There is nothing like having a pack of ravagers guarding your back while you farm. I'm getting off anyways to go chop stone too (i tend to harvest a lot of resources at once, not just one specific thing)

so i don't mind =P
