ARK: Survival Evolved

Statistiche:
What is your main Aberration dino so far? Ravager? Megalosaurus? Spino?
As the title says, what seems most useful so far in your game play? I had a decent sized pack of Ravagers, although most of them being lower levels, and I loved it. The ability to to climb the ropes is great. A friend tamed some high level megalosaurus recently thought and it doesn't seem like anything can stand against it. Kills the nameless king things, other megalosaurus, groups of crabs and spinos. Shreds it all. The main dinosaur I see people using so far though for higher level stuff seems to be spinos for some reason though, and I am curious to see some peoples opinions and reasoning laid out.

Now that i'm established, I love my rock drake (and he makes it easy to get MORE rockdrakes, plus their eggs for basilisks, another fav)
@cowtipper as a pve person i found it the best map to date,
Unlike all other maps where u are given everything on a silver platter ur thrown into a 3d alien landscape where progression takes skill and effort,
i honestly dont mind the fact u can count tameable none light pets on 1 hand.

Not to mention the reskins to make all dinos look much better with the glow effects.
I love Ravagers. They can run quickly, have a pack boost, can climb ziplines so no pursuers can follow them, and even alone are pretty tough.
Megalosaurus exists in a state of perpetual night on Aberration... Since they're actually stronger than Rexes in terms of DPS, they are kings of this ARK. Their only weakness is that their small size makes them susceptible to knock-back.
Ravager- It's made of magic and awesome. It kills literally everything in 1 or 2 hits.

Spino- It's okay. first world tank for radiation zone

Karkinos- This thing is the best thing i've touched in Ark to date. Probably better than a spino.
Rock Drake,
Will try and get impregnated and get a Reaper.
@azarod wait til u get ur hands on a reaper, rock drake and basilisk all super fun critters.

Do any of you know if crabs can jump while holding dinos? Can they hold Megalosaurus?
Yes and no.
How do you even grab dinos as a crab??
You briefly hold down the mouse click respective to the claw you want to grab with, release in the same manner. Left and right claws act independently so you can grab a creature with one claw and attack threats with the other. Clicking both clicks at the same time causes a slam attack that does more damage.

I haven't remarked about the Rock Drake or Reaper yet, will need to tame one of each in their respective methods first.

@abyay ty for the information got a crab but was confused on how to grab with it,

The rock drakes awesome,
the reapers amazing but stupidly hard to get your hands on.
Ravager and Megalosaur <3

megalosaurus all day
"finally" they are useful

now if they would fix breeding so that 2 aberrant megalos provide an aberrant baby and not a regular (useless) megalosaurus, than that would be great

soon..

Bulbdog. It allows me to carry over 400 weight worth of stuff with only 250 weight on my character. It can also wear helmets and I made him use the Reaper skin. Best pet ever.

How did you tame the basilisk? I have not been able to find anything that can tame them besides a rock drake egg. None of the other information on the wiki is actually accurate.
I did tame 2 Carno, got them making eggs and then used those fertilized carno eggs to tame my Basilisk. I love this big snake. <3

Once you have the egg, just lay it down and bait the basilisk to it, it will then eat it and get taming process depending on the server settings. (it will not work with eggs that you spawned in)
