Ever tried taming a creature with a charge light, they do help you know ?
we have 2 of them in the base but they still spawned all over there was just no end to them
If you have a light pet active on your shoulder the nameless wont even spawn until it's light go's out,
if you activate it's light after some spawn,
no more will spawn,
the current ones will lose half their damage and all their resistances upon entering the light.
Do remember the pets can only keep their light up for so long before needing to recharge.
It's a simple yet amazing system that makes going in unprepared a really stupid idea,
just like going to any of the red crystal zones due to deadly creatures and heavy radiation.
The pets have a emition range, and you can boost it as it lvls, is the range large enough to cover your entire base ?
You can also get plant X seeds i believe they are called, dint mess around with those yet, they should help aswell, they basiclly do the same but you have to stand close to them (the wild ones also heal you and your pet, not sure about the one you grow in a crop plot).
very useful for hunting reapers if you dont have a charge lantern to set up a kill zone.
Yeah i read about the flashbang part, so i take it you dont get a fancy plant from it then that grows a slong as you stand close to it .... if not dang it .... :P
And to get a seed from the wild ones stand near them with a light pet active for 60 seconds or so.
Yeah but the wild one gives you the same protection buff as the charge lights, that why i figured it would do the same when planted .... guess my assumption was wrong then :(
Cool, yeah so you could put it in you base then to protect from the nameles, thats what i was getting at ;) Not as usefull as a light or pet obviously, but the man sounded desperate ;)
You want capacity and recharge rate.
Nameless spawns due to unlit PLAYERS, which means player without the charge light icon. They can pop up under light if there is a player unlit. So everyone should have at least 2 pugs with very high capacity (2000+) and a goat with very high regen speed (3-400).
Pugs for indoors and the goat for outdoor on your shoulder.
PS: hold + or your emote key, then release, it should show the emote menu. Put your mouse over light up emote and enter a key, it will set a shortcut to this emote.
On the server Inplay we built our base ontop of one just for the free points. Completely removes the need to fetch water or food while at the base early game. Very convenient.
Id would not say range is useless, that would be up for debate depending on how you play, i dont bump my gamma on my screen or game to make the night useless so range is rather benefitial sometimes.
I do agree that high capacity and regen is required the further you progress into the map, but range has its purposes aswell (although i would also agree that the increase is rather small compared to capacity and recharge atm).
