AC's Not Working Aberration

I'm in the fertile area of the map right by the river, So far I've made 20 AC's for my Rock Drake egg and have checked the temperature and it has not changed from 28 C. This is the temperature on the inside of the enclosed area and the outside area as well. I have placed batteries inside of the AC's to see if there was any changes but there was none. I'm playing in a single player world and was wondering if this is a error or I am doing something incorrect.

AC's dont change temperature, it give insulation (resistance from cold/heat). Dont check the temperature as indicator.
From what i read people said 20-30 AC for the Rock Drake, so try adding more.

Yup, we always use 30 AC with 15 fridges, a preserving bin, a pestil and mortar, 2 vessels and 2 tek trough (prior to tek trough, 4 industrial grills and 3 trough for cooking meat to last the night when not raising a heard) and 2 bunk bed in our hatching room even prior to rock drakes as we liked to be able to throw eggs even kind of far away from the ACs (1-2 foundation away) and they still hatched perfectly fine.

I guess we will have to use 60...

Only problem is farming enough element to make a tek transmitter.

And raising a reaper king/queen will be only doable in aberration... Which is a bummer.
