Reaper tips
I spent about 8-9 hours trying to get my reaper on singleplayer using some console commands to come up with this small mini guide.

These tips are assuming your not using or using as few admin commands as possible.

In order for a reaper to impregnate you you must have reaper pheromones active. You get these from killing reaper queens. I dont know if other reapers drop them i killed a wild king and he had no loot, queens usually drop 3-5 pheromones on average and they last nearly 400 seconds. They also have acid blood so looting them hurts.

Need a reaper QUEEN. If its not a queen kill it (somehow) or run away.

The queen must be at critical health to impregnate. Like less then 5% (extremely bloody look) This is the main reason it took me so long to get this to work. It will not impregnate otherwise ive got about 6 hours of screwing around trying to say its not going to work or so small of a chance its simply not happening.

If by some act of god you actually get impregnated you need to build a giant "box" to hide in once your about to have your alien devil baby because the first thing it will do is haul ass away from you. It will be stuck in wander mode until its grown hence the box. Everything says to make sure to have pheromones active at time of birth, i dont know what happens if you dont i havent tested that yet, but just in case go ahead and do it just for at birth. Other than that you shouldnt need them any more. I used during my imprint attempts as well just in case.

While you build your cage for your baby avoid everything radoactive it will kill it. And kill everything possible. Your baby gets xp to lvl up while its growing inside you so murder everything. Basically just find the safest possible place while avoiding all elemental problems to be safe.

It takes about 1 1/2 hours to give birth and about another 2 1/2 hours (for me anyway) to grow from little bug to ulitmate death machine. It does not spawn at full health its very weak to start with so keep it safe. As it matures its stats go up and it gets bigger. Raw meat works just fine so theres a small blessing that nothing insane is required to feed him with. Im not entirely sure what imprinting does. Once hes been born he shows as yours. Mine is 62% imprinted i only had 2 imprinting chances before he became fully grown and the first imprint didnt do anything.

It seems like you only get a reaper king i havent seen anyone claim to birth a queen yet.
Mine birthed at lvl 37 and once fully grown had just under 13k HP. Your king is the ulitmate tank/abberation packmule as he simply cant die xD Other bonuses include the reapers extreme jumping ability. All you people complaining about hard to climb places or no flying mounts havent seen a reaper yet, they "fly" far and high and being big with ungodly amounts of HP are good at absorbing falls.

Combat tactics:

For battling reapers theres really no good tactic. The are huge. They are strong. They have seemingly infinite HP, tail knockback attack followed by a tail poison attack that launches poisoned spikes at you dealing damage, slowing you, and increasing your torpor.

I used an admin kill cheat against mine (takes 2 to kill one) to bring it down to near death and still spent and hour and nearly 600 shotgun rounds from a apprentice (blue) 156.6% damage shotgun to finally bring it down to critical health to impregnate. You will need a great many bullets to bring one down to critical HP and simply survive on top of it.

Dinos while helpful in the long run are useless. A reapers HP is simply too high for anything short of an army of dinos from being anything but meat shields. Now this does not mean ALL dinos. Ravangers are extremely useful at downing a reapers HP because of their gash bleed ability on their attacks. 1 pack of 3-4 can knock about 5% of my reaper in a typical fight simply from gash. If your with a group of people it would be helpful to have a good sized ravanger pack and a person dedicated to controlling them to help avoid accidently killing the reaper while everyone else blasts it with whatever guns they have.

The impregnate attack does deal fairly severe damage to when its looking bloodied keep your health up. Birth also deals hefty damage.

Assuming that you are on an official server or are not using any admin cheat and you some how manage to accomplish this monumental task then congrats you now have a damn near game breaking killing machine to utterly demolish the map with.

My reaper is 72 now with just over 15k HP 1k stamina 5k food about 650 weight 240% damage and 124.3% run speed. Reapers dont appear to be able to drown (at the moment anyway) its oxygen has never gone down even when in deep water where he is no longer touching the ground.

So much misinformation that it's outright painful.

(It takes about 1 1/2 hours to give birth and about another 2 1/2 hours (for me anyway))

it takes 12 hours to give birth,
it takes nearly 2 weeks to fully mature about same as a giga.

You cant get a queen only a king,

Dont need to have the pheromones active just need the queen to be about 2k hp out of her 40k-50k (on average) hp.

Getting a queen low health is not that hard if you plan ahead set up 1 or 2 charge lanterns and have a glow stick on each dino and have a light pet on your shoulder as if not in light their damage is doubled and they gain 90% resistance to all damage but if in light the damage cuts to normal and their resistances disappear entirely making them about as hard as a mid lvl alpha trex

If you do not use pheromones during the it coming out you will instant die(or just take madness levels of damage),
if you do not use pheromones during the maturing stage it will attack you on sight,

If you dont imprint them within 1-2 mins of them coming out of you they will be perma agro toward you even with pheromones,

max xp they can come out as is 71 stat points (if you havent edited dino xp rates),

Even if the jumps huge it's too small for areas like the pink areas cliffs which only well planned survivors or rock drakes can get back up(seriously some of those cliffs are nearly 200 metres).

Without dinos the only way to knock a queen low enough hp and survive is to box her in a metal cage (personaly wish wild ones could damage metal to prevent this tactic),
A mix of ravagers and crabs works well due to the crabs excessive tankiness with the ravagers gnash and damage output infact you might end up killing it with this as long as there is a light source.

Also i wouldnt call them game breaking rather sure a wild giga and titan still outright pulverize them and wild reapers if you dont have a light source.

Also finding a queen is crazy easy there is an area where they spawn in number my records 4 spawning on me at once easy to say i was attached to the roof with fear in my eyes xD

Earning a reaper is my ultiment goal for the dlc so i studyed everything i could get my hands on including them in game to figure out what effects what and how.

i uhhh.... the reaper isnt game breaking but how long thoose messages are is game breaking for 1 thing... and also i am like 99% sure u are talking about a raidatied area... basicly once u get impregnated its goodbai my little alien

Rock drake seems a bit strong, other than that, the rest of the creatures seem fine.

weird that yours is taking 12 hours all my settings besides player damage/defense and resources rates are on their default setting so i dont see why mine should go faster unless it having been an admin command spawn changes the timer.

Hazard suit makes you immune to radiation/mushroom spore effects. Can get impregnated in a radioactive area so long as your suit is good.

Two corrections;

Queens can easily be solo'd with a decent Spino or Mega. Just tank them on a wild Z plant. The plant outheals their damage, and debuffs them passively.

Reaper queens can't damage stone or metal. A wall of stone pillars is sufficient to trap them.

@123 the plant didnt do anything when i posted that they added the effects in the next day.

Really then is it only kings that can damage stone??

Pretty sure kings don't either.

Another tip from what ive seen is - the queen wont knock you up if you are in an area of charge.

How long you are pregnant, determined by your dino gestation settings.

Once pregnant - you dont earn Exp - but your baby does and will get exstra levels. So go on a killing spree while pregnant.
Fate (-{SoH}-) Dec 18, 2017 @ 10:19am
@magic dont forget the max xp the baby can earn is 54k xp on default settings which from a lvl 1 should spawn a lvl 71 baby.
Tho no idea if it's effected by modded settings so if a server allows dinos to lvl up 100 times then the baby can no idea if thats the case.

can baby be fed without glands even though its aggressive? In other words can i feed it without glands as long as i had a gland active in order to claim it at birth
Saint Dec 28, 2017 @ 8:55pm
Ravagers don't gnash when tamed.

i just trap her with 4 gates, sit on my drake with my light pet out until she is under 2k health. The turn lights off and let someone stand near her with shields. When she grabs them take down the gates.

confirmed u can raise reaper with one gland. Once its claimed, it can be fed whether u have gland or not
Fate (-{SoH}-) Dec 29, 2017 @ 5:45am
@chris yeah it's just agressive,
once it's not a baby a trough is enough,
and to imprint it's always cuddle,
so if any part is clipping through a wall u can just click it to imprint.

The downside being the crazy long growing up stage.

what key do press to make your reaper jump?
