Please optimize Aberration
Seriously, I can rarely get up above 25 fps when playing Aberration, while I can easily clear 60 on any other map. Really makes it hard to play the game.

I don't have an issue. I get the occasional frame drop in places, but other than that, I am rocking a constant 40 fps on a 3440x1440 screen using a reference 970 and on a high/epic mixture (AA&PP off). It seems pretty optimised for me.

I get 50 to 60 frames on the Center and Ragnarok, 40 on the island (probably because there is so much swaying ground cover despite removing that in the options) and I battle to get even 20 frames on aberration. Eventually I turned everything to low and am forcing directx10 to get a max of 30fps. It is in NO WAY optimised.

We have a fairly large group of ARK players, everyone (I mean every single one of them) is super happy with the performance on the new map. we all have different pc's, the lowest one being a quad core running a GTX960 and the game runs fine on 1080P with some tweaked settings and it still looks good.

I would consider a GTX960 the bare minimum to run ARK, so I'm not sure what you're running (You should probably post your specs and maybe some screen shots of the fps on the other maps) but I honestly can't see the performance being worse than the other maps. My personal machine is avg about the same if nto a little bit more than it did on Raganrok.

Don't play on laptops or low spec old machines

I set my niece's machine up with 3570k 16gb ram and 780 and runs fine 50-60 on high/epic

We also have a large group and we all have different specs (some nvidia, some ati, some potato, some beast), and without exception nobody is happy with the performance. We're all getting 20 to 30 frames less than we do on other maps. I've also tried on different servers.
What's weird is I've seen both arguments in the forums (mostly complaining about poor performance, but also those in your camp). Seems like the map just doesn't like some of us. Even read one guy was getting better frames when he turned shadows etc higher which is the opposite of what should happen.

The whole game needs a refurbish, here is how it looks on GNU/Linux:

Twitch clip from my stream[clips.twitch.tv]

Not to speak about resolution, I must play at my monitor resolution because if I lower it the mouse DPI get desync so when I try to click something the game "think" the mouse is somewhere else.....
FPS wise is good but for the rest is a disaster. I see lasery-rainbow-epilepsia inducing flashes everywhere.

At the fertile river I see big black bubles with flashy lasers in it, not to mention during quakes the game renders black and I cannot move because I cannot see anything.

PS: steam keep censoring the twitch clip link thinking i'm cursing or something, if you want to check it out change the hearts in s - h - y - T

The game is ABSOLUTELY NOT OPTIMIZED.
I am running a GTX 1080 8gb MSI. 16GB DDR4 RAM 2400MHz, and an I7 7700K AT 4.4Ghz.

The best FPS I get when I'm not even moving is around 41-45. It will micro stutter and blatantly freeze half the time when im flying or running. I have never had any other issue/s this Severe playing other games on the same spec setup.

It's time to stop with the DLC's and start with the Optimization.

I take back my first comment. Aberration was fine for me for the first few updates, but it has gotten progressively worse with each update and gets insanely bad when I move the camera. If I rapidly move the camera around, I can physically crash the game due to the framiness. My buddy can normally get 140 - 160 frames on Rag, yet he even framed out last night and crashed.

Pancake may I ask what setting the player that runs the 960 uses? Cause what you describes is basically my set up, I run a GTX 960, AMD 8320 4 "True cores" 8 core processor, and 12 gbs or Ram

they only need to optimize underwater it drops from 65 to 45 on epic preset.

what you described is basically the minimum recommended on the store page, except you have little bit more ram. gtx 670 performs almost the same as gtx 960
