Grappling Hook not working on Aberration

Grappling Hook does not work on Aberration, and any servers using "Reusables" will crash their server if they use Reusable Grappling Hook on Aberration.

I haven't tried the normal grappling hook on Aberration but yeah we found out the hard way that the reusable one crashes the server, I also got a crash on the center in singleplayer with the reusable but the normal one worked fine when I was testing it so I think its the mod being broken, perhaps you should post on the mod page if it isn't already reported.

We use these aswell, both normal and reusable, worked fine tbh.

Note we are still on Verson: 275.31

Yeah but even our regular grappling hooks don't seem to be hooking onto anything. I disabled the reusable engram, though.

We are currently using The Last Grapple mod..it works well and no crashes to report..it does shoot a bit far though lol..we will most likely be changing out for the reusable when it becomes available

I have no mods that makes my grappling hook reusable but the darn thing doesn't hook to anything at all in Aberration except your own tamed animals... didn't tried on wild ones yet.
So i don't think your Mod is responsible that the hook doesn't work!

Same Here, No Mods, Wasted 50+ Grappling Hooks, They Wont Attach To Anything. Gave Up And Am Setting Up A Zipline Network Now.

This is the intention, graps no work on aberration, like teleporter and other stuff, only grap on dinos or players, that's the reason so many grap mods crashes. If you want to climb use the climbing pick ;)

Think the devs stated on the official forums that they don't want people to use grappling hooks on abberation, to promote use of zip lines and gliders instead...

Which in my eyes seems stupid since this is the one map where grappling hooks are actually usefull. Never use them on the island n so on besides getting on a wyvern that won't land...

Yeah, you have to travel with 2 or 3 of them, you can repair with the new item to repais smithy items, and the durabilty of grapplings?? durability of a primitive crossbow??

Just use the grappling mod The Last Grapple lol it works well enough.

You can grapple onto tamed dinos, but not structures or the terrain with vanilla grappling hooks.

The Last Grapple mod has been updated with adjustable ini options for things like distance and speed.

durability is a joke

i agree the durability of climbing picks is a Joke. compare to a primitive crossbow with grapple .. is like you can cover 20x more distance zip lines are nice for descend yes.. but not for on the go. that where you should be able to rock climb with picks right..well the fail big time even with 10 on me so grappling is a must on this map and zips are nice for the fixed routes
